Introduction - Who is Stan Newcombe?
Hello, I am Stan Newcombe, and welcome to a bit of my twisted world. Who am I? I am a husband, a father, an author and a total geek. Basically a pretty normal guy I guess. I have never really liked the introduction part of a web page so I will get that over as quickly as I can. First off, If you haven't guessed I'm a bit of a geek... Well, my wife has called me an uber-geek ( oober geek ). What can I say? I like tech stuff, computers, robotics, etc.. I am also a Nature Geek ( a.k.a. Tree Hugging Dirt Worshiper ).. Some may ask how I can be both a Tech Geek and a Nature Geek. Well, I believe we can use technology to help fix the damage we have caused to Mother Earth and ourselves. Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes in the past and prevent more damage in the future.
Spending time with family and friends is number one! During the summer months you can usually find me outside doing something, while in the winter I tend to hibernate and spend as much time as I can working on various projects. I like to carve wood, do some metal working and other "crafty" things.... I have also been a contributing author for various E-Zines, an Ordained Minister and the Director for Wolf Run Wildlife and Spiritual Sanctuary.
Sometimes I tend to be a bit too honest, so if you do not want to know the answer, do not ask the question. I can be a bit sarcastic at times and I have a twisted sense of humor but usually it's all in fun. I believe we all have our own paths in life and should be allowed to follow them as long as they "harm none". And with that, if someone were to show up on my doorstep and try to push their beliefs on our house, they just might find out that we are having problems with our automatic sprinkler system.
